APPROACH:

I help dancers of all levels develop skill, creativity, musicality, and confidence through focused online and in-person lessons. My approach blends technical foundations with personal expression, helping each student move with intention and discover their own style. Whether you are starting your breaking journey or refining your craft, I create clear, challenging, and inspiring ways to keep building.

PERSONAL BIO:

My name is Thias Lopez. Born in 1991, in Tucson, Arizona and now residing in San Diego, California. As a hip-hop practitioner, breaker, educator, and cultural organizer, I’ve been active since 1998. My professional teaching experience began in 2005. I’m a member of internationally recognized crews: Breaking Bad, The Fresh Descendants, and Beat Rock Crew. I work across all aspects of the culture, including competition, judging, teaching, performance, and event production.

My work has taken me to various parts of the world, including North, Central, and South America, Asia, Europe, Russia, and the Middle East. My movement style blends foundational breaking with influences from multiple dance disciplines, shaped by an original creative approach. I’m committed to mentorship, community engagement, and advancing hip-hop arts through education and cultural exchange.

STYLE:

Thesis’ style is a mix of traditional and abstract movements and in the best way to put it; scientifically compacted with footwork, power, storytelling and mixing styles decorated by original ideas and musicality.
